Our Mission: To equip MEN to equip OTHERS
“You have heard me teach things that have been confirmed by many reliable witnesses. Now teach these truths to other trustworthy people who will be able to pass them on to others.” 2 Timothy 2:2
How do we equip MEN?
Community- Roots is meant to foster authentic community that enables us to Mature in the body of believers.
Ownership- Roots will challenge men to take OWNERSHIP of their personal walk with Christ, as well as their Role in the Home and at Church.
How do we equip OTHERS?
Unity- Roots will STRONGLY urge Men to be apart of UNITY events such as 1prayer and MOMENTUM.
UNITY means we are not just here for ourselves but also for our community. It’s acknowledging the only way to fully reach it, is by joining hands with other churches and making an effort to take this community back for CHRIST and not just our church.
Service- Roots men will be required to get involved and give back to the church/community.
It will be our core intent to motivate Men into action and equip them to serve in their area of influence and gifting.
Roots is a leadership development process focused on MEN in the church.

It has long been my God given agenda to create or cultivate Community centered on Christ.
My heart is compelled by Community. Community is where lives are transformed and rendered anew. It’s where the TEACHINGS of Gods word meets the application into daily life. It’s where the Spirit of God manifest and showcases itself to the world. It is the CITY on a Hill, or a light shining into darkness. It is what God first created when He formed MAN and WOMAN. It was the only reason why Christ died and it is the only way for His Kingdom to come.
I am living this out today first and foremost by BEING in community. The Church is comprised of the PEOPLE not the banner or logo of its establishment.. but the blood and tears shared in the brokenness of man. I belong to a community I call the Forge.. which is a band of misfit, Christ driven, over-achievers with a desire to live out AUTHENTIC faith.
I have also had the privilege of forming a leadership development group in my church called Roots. The focus and intention of Roots, is to equip men to equip others. (2 Tim 2:2). By focusing on discipling MEN, you create a catalyst of change within the Family, which subsequently revives the COMMUNITY that harbor them.
I have been so blessed with the experience and tools God has equipped me with to fulfill this Calling placed on my life. Even to the extent of being recently engaged to a beautiful woman, in which I will be able to share community with in the home.
MY entire being is wrapped into this..
It’s who God made me.. It’s why I’m here.. & It’s what I’m all about.

It amazes me how much the revelation of love frees and continually opens my eyes. Each day I am able to see more and more how God formed our hearts to fit into His hands, and how every desire I have, stems from the need of Him in my life. Including all of my insecurity, and selfish ambition. My entire being of humanity cries out for the redeeming grace of our Savior.
We are nothing without Him.
Those whos hearts are hard to the Truth, lack the very source of life that completes them. Instead they toil in their sinful ways, looking for any means to satisfy their own ambition. Filling the void of their true identity, that can only be found in Christ. For it is In Him, Through Him and For Him we were formed.
The revelation of Love is continually relying on Gods Grace and allowing His spirit to consistently renew you.
It is knowing that God takes delight in us. (of all things)
It is the flame that should fuel us to strip ourselves of our sinfull desires.
It is the realization of the reason for our creation.
It is the standard in which we should walk.
It is the breath of life we must have to sustain our being.
It is all we need.

Mark 6: 6 And He marveled because of their unbelief..
Jesus marveled..
Very rarely do we see the Son of Man stand in awe of something..
Yet it was the blindness of their heart, which left Him in wonder..
It’s funny how we complicate things.. how we choose to rationalize or twist the facts to seem more appetizing.. I guess I would be marveled too, if the Answer you have been looking for was right in front of you.. yet you failed to acknowledge or receive, and instead twisted and distorted it, to suit your own comfortability.. Our heart when deceived is a destructive tool.. It can make any excuse to fuel our selfish want..
Yet, the blueprint for the heart of man was intended to be marveled..
It was crafted by the same hands that forged the mountains, and fashioned the seas.. Yet our hearts were born into our fallen nature, and cast into the shadow of our sins.. Only to lay wait for a Redeemer..

Fertilizer.. It always finds a way to hit the fan..
It seems prominently to be the aftermath of a “some what good” intention combined with ill sought advisement .. which sadly concludes to an unwelcome response..
Yet even “it” seems to serve a purpose..
Conflicts are inevitable, resolutions are not.. Our response to “it”, is what ultimately shapes and defines our character.. It’s easy to turn and burn the bridges you leave behind.. Yet that ineptly equips you for conflicts that soon arise..
Reconciliation doesn’t require fondness.. however it does call for courage..
Yet.. it is that very courage through the adversity, that foster growth and maturity.
